A steady mount is a boon to any expedition – especially the kind you can doze off on.

I promise I haven’t abandoned my oil paints, or my plein air work – it’s just that those take longer to dry. But here’s another digital piece in the meanwhile. I had fun experimenting with a different type of landscape and I put my practice painting sunrises to good use. I’m really pleased that my plein air work has made its way into my illustration – I feel like my environments are richer and my colors are more harmonious. And I’m faster, too! I guess good, consistent exercise improves you across the board. Good to know!
