Painting Small

Every time I go to buy canvases, these tiny 2.5 x 2.5 babies tempt me to purchase them. Last week I finally gave in and brought home three. I considered carefully what I would put on them: Cute little flowers? Tiny birds? Mini landscapes? But the nerd in me is strong, so in the end it was dragons. It was fun to work so small – it gave me free reign to experiment with color and style, since the time commitment was smaller than a full-scale piece. I may have to do more of these little bits in the future – when I need some quality play-time in between bigger pieces.

If you’re interested in purchasing one of these little guys, they’re up for sale in my Etsy shop:

  1. These are actually such a nice size! Love the colors you’ve used, especially the purple/orange dragon 🙂
