So I got a new sketchbook. Good news is, this paper is nice and thick. It barely buckles under washes and it doesn’t suck down my paint strokes like they were the last Capri Sun on a 100 degree playground. The bad news is, it doesn’t do one thing to help you if you hurriedly start a painting without a proper sketch, forget where your lights and darks are supposed to be and basically fudge the whole thing up because it’s getting late, you have somewhere to be and you need to start dinner soon. The nerve. It also doesn’t have that yellowish tint that the last paper had that made all my sketches look old-timey and quaint. Alas.
