We had a big storm come through last night and it brought a cold front with it – I thought I’d take advantage of the cooler weather to head out to a local park and paint something different. I saw this tree growing out of the side of the slope leading down to the creek and thought it was worth painting. As I was making my way down I neglected to take into the account the effect that a night of stormy weather has on a slope of clay mud. I got down the hill easily enough, but I felt like a wildebeest migrating after the rainy season trying to claw my way back up. And if you don’t feel the pain of that analogy, you haven’t watched enough Animal Planet.
